About Us

Communion Rail Offering      :
Today’s special offering goes toward purchasing multiple copies
of The Faith-Sharing New Testament with the Psalms. As a
congregation, we can pass out these Bibles to our guests at
worship, as well as at community events such as our Spring
Faire, for those who do not know Christ or do not have their
own    Bible. These Bibles include special sections on
understanding the basics of the Christian Faith. We can even
purchase them in multiple languages.

The Missions Team meets this Tuesday at 7pm.

On May 13: 7pm Trustees.   Finance at 7:30pm

Fellowship Ministries             :
Does your stomach growl on Sunday morning? Then come to
Strickland fellowship hall at 9:30am where we serve some of the
best coffee in Medina County. Come and enjoy the blessings of a
church family.

The FELLOWSHIP schedule…for the Summer months has been
posted, check your travel and summer camp calendars and sign
up. Remember to make a bit less for fellowship during the
summer months.

Sunday May 13…still needs someone to sign up for
FELLOWSHIP at 9:30. Even though it’s Mothers Day we still wish
to provide coffee & refreshments. The sign up sheet for this or
any other Sunday is posted in the kitchen.

Our May Fellowship event will be an “ARK Party.” That’s cake
and punch, for our new younger brothers and sisters in Christ.
On May 20th stop after the 11 am service. Stay for a bite of cake,
and welcome and congratulate our confirmands: Reba & Kenny
Durden, Hillary, Martina, and Myra Scott.

The Open Door Social… meets this Wednesday from Noon to
3pm. This is one of our fellowship ministries for the senior adults
of Medina Valley.

United Methodist Women             :
Meet tomorrow night at 7pm… ALL women, of ALL ages, of ALL
Christian denominations are welcome to attend this or ANY other
meeting, workday, or outing of this Christ-centered and fun-loving
group!

Opportunities to Grow and Serve           :
Sign up to Assist with Worship… you can read scripture, offer a
prayer, assist with communion, acolyte, or offer a children’s
sermon. Pastor Andy can assist with the prayers and/or
children’s sermon.

Prayer / Visitor Cards...(located in pew racks) use these cards
to share joys, concerns, and other information with the Pastor
and/or congregation. You may give your card to the Pastor or
place them in the offering plate.

Youth Ministries          :
  Stock Shares for the Youth Mission Trip…are available in the
foyer to support our trip to Fredericksburg with U.M. Army. Every
share holder will be personally invited to the Mission Trip Slide
Show and Dinner later in the summer.

  We currently have 14 Youth and 8 Adults registered to attend U.
M. ARMY from our church. There are still openings available if
any Youth is interested in attending… just talk with Pastor Andy.

Congratulations to Kelley Sonnen… she was selected from
among Youth from our Conference to serve on a new Servant
Team for our Summer Conference Youth Camps. Kelley is part of
a team of 10 Youth who will work along side the Adult leadership
in running the summer camps. The Servant Team is a brand new
concept for youths wanting to grow and develop as Christian
leaders!

Walk to Emmaus         :
  The Monthly Community Gathering is this Friday and meets at
Lakehills UMC. 7:30pm
