Pastor Everett McCarley
Pastor “Ev” after 60 years of running from God’s call finally said “Here I am Lord.” Pastor Ev and his wife Marilyn are coming to us from Cotulla UMC where he was the Pastor for two years. He was the associate Pastor at Lake Hills before that.
Pastor Ev is retired Air Force and then worked in the defense arena as a contractor before saying yes to the Lord, much to the delight of his family who reside here in Texas.
Pastor Ev is looking for a good close by fishing hole if you happen to know of one you can share. Here in town he will the guy in the plaid shorts, teeshirt and hat with the big smile.

Youth Ministry Coordinators
Our Youth Group leaders, Joe Flores, Tessa Garcia Flores and Freddy Canales and Sasha Garcia Canales are the parents of teens and toddlers make up a dynamite team, have the skills and energy to make the group a success with such diverse programs as canoeing, concerts, camp and mission trips.
Darlene - Administrative Assistant
Darlene retired from the Air Force and then began work as an administrative assistant at a university bookstore in Wichita Falls, Texas. When her son, Dustin, graduated from high school in 2005, they moved here to be closer to family. She has worked as a church administrative assistant for several years. Darlene lives in Castroville with her husband, Fernando. Her son recently married, and they are delighted to have added daughter-in-law, Jillian, to the family.
Carol Love - Pianist
Carol Love was born in Litchfield, Illinois, and has been playing music almost all of her life, either on the piano, flute, violin, or viola. Her musical education started in a small Central Illinois town and continued wherever she lived, in Midland and Austin, TX, or studying at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan or the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston. In addition to teaching piano for over 25 years, she has been playing for services and accompanying the choir at the Medina Valley United Methodist Church since she moved to Castroville in 1994.
Nancy Authier - Guitarist
Nancy J. Authier has been playing guitar most of her life and often times in a church somewhere, whether it was her hometown church in SD, an AF base on a Greek island or the base chapel in Misawa, Japan. Traveling the world with husband Herb (high school sweetheart) and family, they settled in Texas after Herb retired from the USAF. Nancy retired at Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland as the protocol officer at the Defense Language Institute English Language Center.
