Clothing Drive

  • Medina Valley United Methodist Church (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Our annual clothing drive in supports the those families that have been in a natural disaster.

After we collect gently used adults and children’s clothing the clothes are sent off to a processing center to be cleaned and sorted before being stored for the next big disaster. Think floods, tornados and earthquakes, so we do not need PROM dresses, or dance shoes. Belts and tote bags are needed as is new underwear and socks still in the original package. Matching shoes are welcome, no hats please. Drop clothes at the church near the new kitchen, or if you know where the key to the storage building is put them on the ping pong table.

Adopt A Highway Litter Pick Up

As part of our Out Reach to the community we adopted a section of highway near the Potranco Elementary School on FM 1957. Once a quarter we pick up trash on a two mile section of the road. No one walks the whole two miles as we send out teams of two and three along various sections of the road. Normally we are done with the pick in a hour and a half.  First time pickers MUST meet in the church parking lot at 8am for a safety briefing.
